October is full of pumpkins, bonfires and apple picking, AND it’s National Roller Skating Month! At Rainbow Skateland, we have every reason to celebrate, and so should you!
The earliest recorded use of roller skates documents back to 1743. However, President Reagan didn’t declare National Roller Skating Month until 1983. Not only is skating great exercise, but it’s perfect all year round for family fun. In a world full of technology like tablets, smart phones and television, we forget that roller skating was the original social network; put the gadgets down, grab your friends and roller skate!
Here’s a couple of ways you can celebrate National Roller Skating Month:
- Take a break from the stress of school/work and enjoy an hour or two of skating. Consider bringing in one of your friends who haven’t skated before, and teach them!
- Bring the Group to Rainbow Skateland for some good, clean fun. It won’t be long until they are reminiscing about the old days.
Celebrate roller skating every month by coming to Rainbow Skateland! It’s clean, safe and fun for the whole family. Check out our open skating hours or give us a call at 716-507-4381.
